UL Certification

Certifications from UL demonstrate that products have been tested to applicable standards. UL’s recognised regulatory expertise provides critical credibility to authorities and customers. Core products from our Solo, Testifire and SmokeSabre ranges are UL certified demonstrating our commitment to user safety and product quality.

ISO 9001

Our Quality Management System is approved under ISO 9001:2015 making us the world’s first and only such ISO 9000 approved specialist designer and manufacturer of fire detector test equipment. Since attaining approval in 2004, our QMS has been regularly audited to ensure standards are maintained and any areas for improvement are identified and acted on.

ISO 14001

In 2023 we reached a milestone in our sustainability drive when we successful ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System. An extremely proud moment for the company as we passed the audit with zero nonconformities. ISO 14001 certification forms a key part of our ESG ambitions agreed in 2023.

Queen's Award for Enterprise

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK business. The Awards are designed to recognise and encourage outstanding achievements in the fields of: innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity. In 2021 we were recognised with our 3rd Queen’s Award, an incredible achievement for everyone in the business.

SME Export Track 100

In 2019 we entered the Sunday Times Export Track 100 for the first time. This annual table ranks small and medium-sized private companies with the fastest growing international sales, the appearance in the top 100 recognised the significant efforts by the business to grow international sales and drive global fire standards.

Living Wage Employer

In 2023 we were delighted to be accredited as a UK Living Wage Employer. This accreditation means that every member of the DT team working in the UK earns a real living wage. This commitment applies to not only directly employed staff but to third party contracted staff as well.
