Introducing Brad, a new member of the sales team!

We’ve recently welcomed a new member to our sales and marketing team with the appointment of Bradley Cox to the role of Sales Executive.
Bradley joins the company as a recent graduate from the University of Hertfordshire – filling the vacancy created by the recent promotion of another recent new arrival, Mustafa Yucebag, to Business Development Executive.
Hey Brad, tell us a bit about yourself?
I am new to the sales scene after graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in 2019. I studied Sport Coaching and have a passion for football. I support my (sort of) local team, Ipswich Town and I love to travel. My aim is to travel to a new country every year!
How did you get into this role?
I have worked as a football coach and a number of roles within retail as well as KFC (if you want a 25% discount, I’m your guy) prior to joining Detectortesters. I have come through the Pareto Law training courses and throughout the roles I have previously worked, I’ve found that I enjoy chatting to new people. If you want to chat about test equipment or football, then give me a call.
What appeals about a sales role at Detectortesters?
As previously mentioned, I enjoy chatting to people. Detectortesters, for me, is such an appealing business to work for. The company looks after employees and the products we manufacture ultimately help protect peoples lives and property. I like the idea that Detectortesters provide such unique solutions for testing a vast range of fire systems.
I didn’t realise just how big this company was, I was so impressed to hear that we sell to so many countries and how in demand our products are.
Can you give us an overview of your typical day at Detectortesters?
In a typical day here, I am contacting new and existing customers, helping them to find the right products for their needs. I also take care of quote requests that come through our website and over the phone. I also conduct research and find potential marketing opportunities, as well as finding trends from website analytics.
What’s surprised you most about the role?
This is my first job that is within an office environment and it’s surprised me how supportive everyone is here as well as the camaraderie that is within the company, there’s a great spirit here. I didn’t realise just how big this company was, I was so impressed to hear that we sell to so many countries and how in demand our products are.
